London End the concluding Volume Two of the Image Makers see Priestley's heroes Professor Cosmos Saltana and Dr. Owen Tuby bring their Institute of Social Imagistics to London to be run on a commercial basis. The Institute was set up to study the Images in the modern world and had moderate success improving the image of various individuals and concerns whilst attached to the University of Brockshire. However in London commissions begin to roll in and the Institute is an amazing success, but underneath all is not well and the basic differences between Tuby & Saltana begin to manifest themselves. The team split and Saltana takes on the task of upping the Image of the Prime Minister as a General Election looms. Tuby is drawn to do the same for the Opposition........
